Chiara Volpes – Piano

He graduated in piano in Palermo under the guidance of Donatella Sollima in 2010, with full marks, praise and honorable mention. In 2015 he finishes the two-year soloist course with full marks and honors, at the Conservatory “G. Nicolini” in Piacenza, with Guido Scano. He studied with Anna Kravtchenko and in 2018 he successfully completed the Master of Advanced Studies in Music Performance and Interpretation at the Conservatorio della Svizzera Italiana in Lugano. She has won numerous national and international competitions, including the “Seiler Prize” in Palermo, the “Antonino Miserendino” European Competition, the “Hyperion” in Ciampino, the “Clara Schumann” in Catania, the “Ibla Grand Prize” (special mentions), the “Pietro Squartini” in Perugia, the “Premio Benedetto Albanese”, the “Marco Fortini” of Bologna, the “Luigi Zanuccoli” of Sogliano al Rubicone, the “Premio Crescendo” of Florence, the “Premio Nazionale delle Arti 2015” named after Claudio Abbado (national finalist), the “Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart” 2016 of Turin and many others. He plays in several concert halls as a soloist and in chamber ensembles and has attended masterclasses and advanced courses with important pianists including Riccardo Risaliti, Michele Marvulli, Charles Rosen, Pietro De Maria, Thèrése Fay, Andrea Lucchesini, Natalia Trull, Davide Cabassi (with whom he also played in duo), Tatiana Larionova and others. In 2015 he founded, together with other musicians, the collective contemporary music ensemble_21, with which he performs regularly throughout Italy, collaborating with important personalities such as the composer Frederic Rzewski, the cellists Giovanni Sollima and Marco Decimo, the dancer Riccardo Buscarini, the sound designer Alessandro Baldessari and many others.
