Emanuele Giarrusso – Clarinet

Sicilian, class of 1983. He studied clarinet in Catania, Piacenza and Lyon.

He has been suitable for auditions for various opera and symphonic institutions (2010: Arena di Verona, clarinet in a row; Teatro alla Scala, small clarinet; Schleswig-Holstein Musik Festival Orchesterakademie). 

He is also interested in the repertoire of untaught repertoire and is co-founder of the klezmer/folk ensemble ‘Volks Populi’ with which he has performed in several important festivals in France and Italy. 

Graduated in Modern Literature and Musicology cum laude, he qualified for the teaching of clarinet (2015) and won the competition for clarinet in 2016. 

He has been teaching clarinet at the Istituto Superiore di Studi Musicali “C. Monteverdi” in Cremona since 2008.
