Recycle: Put something old back into use, reuse, repurpose–
Recycled Music could bring to the stage the image of a complex world that re-flexes on the recycle as a re-introduction into a dead life cycle of waste material whether human, plastic/glass/aluminum, wet or paper, ancient music, modern music, music trivialized by utilitarian or usage purposes, unsuccessful improvisation scraps, rituals, routines. On the stage, which is an island of plastic and rituality, 6 mythological birds, inhabitants of a space and time that highlights and loves cycles and recycles, recursiveness and cyclical overlaps, periods, periodicity and eternal returns, share a game of construction and eternal cyclical destruction, symbol of natural and human recursiveness. Some birds with marvelous feathers give back value to blasted, abandoned music as an art form and rebuild old melodies loading them with new meaning. Some birds understand the recycling of music as a drastic fragmentation of sound material that is no longer important/interesting/useful and so they macerate it with their pincer beaks so that it becomes humus for new things. The show gives back through music and scenic suggestions, paths of listening and interpretation on several levels, which immerse the viewer in an expanded vision of the concept of recycling.
